OLYMPIA’S POV

" Who do you think you are?" Crystal questioned before shoving me to the wall roughly.

" Owww" I let out a painful moan, at the agony I felt on my arm due to the impact of her strength. My face on its own twisting, sweat forming at the bridge of my forehead.

" A worthless, outcast and omega like you, actually wants to come to the mating festival?" Crystal asked in disbelief, her eyes blazing with fury, her arms finding their way around her chest.

" I am just as surprised as you are, Crystal" One of Rayna's minions, Cassie said as she pretended to widen her eyes in disbelief while hiding an evil grin.

" The worthless piece of trash also wants to get mated" Freya, another of her minions, mocked while letting out a loud chuckle.

I stood there silently, my heart racing, watching them and unable to do anything to stop them, for they were far stronger than me. My hands were twitching and I could feel my legs wobbling. That was just how scared of them I was.

Besides, this has always been my life, getting bullied and not retaliating.

" I suggest you go back home to your little bin, otherwise you will end up heartbroken" Crystal advised like she cared, while looking at her fully manicured fingers.

" I mean obviously, no one would want dirt" she added and I took my eyes away from them unconsciously to the ground, my eyelids feeling heavy.

" What are we saying, girls? She doesn't even have a mate and I doubt she ever would, this is the 10th time she is coming for the mating festival, and has never left successful" Crystal commented mocking me. I felt my heart shattering into pieces, my world and hope almost crumbling too but I decided to still have faith and not believe her.

' Tonight would be my time. I could feel it' I thought, feeling a little bit at ease as I took in a deep breath.

" So take our advice loose and just stay in your trash can, otherwise you would go home disappointed again" Crystal warned, before snorting and turning to leave with her friends. Her head stood tall and powerful, her steps majestical.

I sighed, feeling a lump in my throat as I turned away from admiring Crystal to looking at my bleeding arm, and torn clothes, knowing I had to go back home and change to be able to go to the festival.

I was sure not going to meet my mate while looking like an unkempt, tattered, countryside bumpkin.

In all my entire life or should I say, in all 21 years of my life, I have been nothing but miserable, bullied, cast aside, abused, and tortured.

Everyone saw me as a funny case, and the perfect tool to either extract their frustrations, pain, and anger on.

I am from the Moon World pack, one of the best packs in the werewolf world, and mostly because of this, they are embarrassed to have me as a part of them.

All other members are either from an Alpha bloodline, beta, Gamma, or normal werewolves, who could actually transform into their werewolf forms.

I, on the other hand, was from a traitor's bloodline, according to them, and to make matters worse, I was an omega, not just an omega but the lowest of them, who couldn't even shift, or sense her wolf.

When I was little, I think 5 or 6, according to the rumors because I don't really know what happened.

My parents went against the law, and killed one of their own to save a human, and even died because of that.

Ever since then, my bloodline title was taken from them and I became an outcast because I was their only offspring and the last descendant of the moon family.

Everyone mocked me, insulted me, and just beat me up for no reason. Especially Rayna and her minions, who adored seeing me in pain.

I hurriedly dashed back home to change into clean, new clothes and started running to the hall where the festival was supposed to take place.

I didn't want to be late and miss the chance of finding my mate. I don't know why, but I suddenly had this strong feeling that I would find my mate today.

My eyes widened and my mouth fell agape when I walked in, to say the ballroom was just beautiful was an understatement, it was resplendent with high ceilings and chandeliers reflecting the glittering lights of the people below.

Everyone was dressed in their finest, looking glamorous and all. I suddenly felt unconfident and out of place because I was wearing an old dress of my mother's which I saw in some of her belongings. This meant it was outdated but I still cherished it.

Everyone was chatting and laughing, their voices rising in a joyful tone which I couldn't blame them for, it was the mating festival after all which has always been a day of Joy for everyone except me but I have faith that would change tonight.

While walking deeper into the crowd, trying to avoid hitting people, I noticed the air was perfumed with scents of flowers, and the music of the orchestra was filling the room. I was still looking around, admiring the slightest thing when suddenly, I started perceiving the most delicious scent ever.

I froze at first, my mind going blank as multiple thoughts swirled in my head with me trying to figure out what it meant when it hit me. My mate was nearby. I literally let out a quiet, exciting sequel, feeling happiness bubbling in me while jumping up and down. This attracted people of course.

I was so thrilled that I forgot about my plan of being low-key to not attract people's attention. I ignored those who threw me weird stares and tried moving further when I collided with a hard chest.

" Ouch!" I let out a distressing groan, feeling my fragile nose hurting like hell. It almost broke due to the hard impact, but thankfully it did not.

I rubbed my nose and was about to look up to know who it was bumped into when I started perceiving the scent again, but this time it was so close to me and even more alluring.

While trying to raise my head up, I heard a loud growl.

" MATE".

The thin lines of my brows jumped in surprise, and I hastily looked up and staggered back, my eyes glazing over at who I was seeing In front of me.

It was Silas, the newly crowned Alpha king of this pack. A grin found a way to my face and my eyes shined.

' Finally, the moon goddess has smiled upon me' I thought in zeal, blessing her secretly inside of me, when what I heard next crashed all my hopes.

" How can you, a filthy, little, outcast, daughter of traitors, be my fated mate?" Silas suddenly growled out, alerting people's attention. I trembled at the strictness in his voice, my happiness fading away silently.

The loud music immediately died down and people turned to look at us instead, wondering what was going on.

Lost in thought at what was going on, I moved closer to Silas to ask what was going on.

" Get away from me, trash " He yelled, fury blazing in his eyes, his fists clenched. and it was then, that I noticed the pure look of disgust and irritation he had in his eyes for me.

I felt like a knife was squeezing my chest at the moment, as what was going on finally started to sink into my head. I could hear whispers from the people, who were trying to figure out exactly what was going on.

" Y y you d do n, not w wa want me?" I stuttered while closing my eyes, with a rapid heartbeat to stop the tears threatening to flow from my eyes.

Silas burst into laughter like what I asked was a joke and I opened my eyes to glance at him.

" Who would want an exile, Omega as a mate?" He probed and everyone gasped, finally realizing what was going on.

The worst was about to happen to me.
