“It was girl,” Atlas murmured, his grip on the steering tightening as he sped down the road.

I didn’t speak.

“I mean the baby,” His eyes met mine through the driver’s mirror. “Raina’s baby.”

I averted my gaze, holding my breath as I drowned in the silence.

“Where are you taking me?”

“Home.”
