When she walked out of the building, Veronica Parker looked up at the sky and wanted to swear.
"What am I going to do?" she asked herself. Unexpectedly, she slept with the president of the KING Group in Illinois, who had the power to cover the sky with one hand.
So, if she let Nick Cage knew that she secretly gave birth to his children, he would be furious and do everything possible to torture her, or he might even take the children away?
No way! Nick Cage must not know this secret! The children were hers!
"I can't go to KING, so let's see if there are any other interview invitations." She decided.
Alas, after a day of twists and turns, Veronica Parker had no joy in finding a job at all.
With a lot on her mind, she went to the subway station, but suddenly there was a loud noise not far away.
An old man sat in front of a black Rolls-Royce phantom, leaning against the car, slapping his legs, and wailing, "God has eyes! If I break my leg, I won't be able to walk again. I will never leave without you paying me!"
The man next to him looked at him angrily. "My car didn't move, how did I hit you? You touched the porcelain! "
"You obviously bumped into me, and you should pay me money! You can't leave without paying me money! "
Seeing this, Veronica Parker hurriedly came forward and said, "Why are you such a person? How can you not pay money if you hit someone? Isn't that bullying? "
The old man immediately said, "That is, the eyes of the masses are discerning! Give me the money, or I'll die here!"
The people who came out of the clubhouse stood at the door – tall men, powerful, sharp, and deep black eyes watched the scene.
Kay Tours wanted to come forward, but Nick Cage raised his hand slightly and stopped him.
"Mr. Cage." Kay Tours looked at the cold side face of Nick Cage and hesitated to speak.
"This girl is obviously meddling. I don't know what the situation is. Is she kind-hearted or just too ignorant?"
"Do you think he is easy to bully when he is old? It's too much! Old man, take out your cell phone, and I'll take a picture for you as evidence, so that he can't get rid of it!"
"Yes, that's it, you're smart." The old man took out his cell phone and gave it to Veronica Parker.
Who knew that Veronica Parker would got the phone and ran away?
"Grab the phone! Don't run, give me back my phone!" The old man chased her as soon as he got up. A few steps in front of Veronica Parker, he stopped and threatened her. "If you want to die, give me back my cell phone!"
"You, are you alright? Didn't you say your leg was broken?" Veronica Parker looked up and down.
It was only then that the old man realized that he had chased his cell phone and forgot that his leg had been hit.
"You!" The old man was too angry to speak.
Veronica Parker rolled her eyes and walked up to the man. "It's all right. I can testify that his legs are fine."
"Thank you." The man stooped slightly.
"You're welcome." Veronica Parker smiled and did not notice that the old man, whose eyes had become vicious, was picking up a drill from the ground and was about to smash it at the back of Veronica Parker's head.
The driver only had time to say, 'Be careful'. Veronica Parker turned around, and the brick was about to hit her face. She froze with fear and closed her eyes subconsciously.
Surprisingly, she did not feel any pain. She first opened her one eye and found that the brick stopped in front of her. The old man's wrist was caught by the other hand that appeared in the air. His face became twisted with pain, and the brick fell from his hand.
Veronica Parker raised her face in amazement and froze when she saw who the man who saved her was.
The old man looked miserable, as if he was suffering a great deal of pain, while Nick Cage's face was ferocious.
"Since you want to get hit, it's for you." With that, he easily twisted the old man's wrist, and then heard a bone break.
"Ah!" The old man howled and screamed as he held his broken wrist.
The bodyguard came forward and dragged the old man away so that he could not even hear the screams.
Veronica Parker stood there and forgot to regain her mind. It was the first time she heard the sound of a broken bone, so close and so horrible.
"Mr. Cage, when I was mistaken just now, thanks to the help of this young lady." The driver said.
Veronica Parker regained her sense and longed to leave right away. "It's nothing. I have to go first."
As soon as she turned around, a tight wrist grabbed her.
