Did he truly made the correct choice by divorcing her in such a situation, further more, Stephen couldn’t help but recall when Natasha slapped Ariel claiming to have been framed.

Did Ariel really trip on her own and blame it on Natasha! But that’s like Ariel? He had known Ariel

since childhood and she can never be that kind of a person. But Natasha looked sincere earlier.

Stephen rubbed his forehead in frustration before getting up to take a shower. As he opened his wardrobe, his gaze fell on Natasha’s clothes, causing him to tighten his hands on his buttons. The realization that Natasha didn’t take anything he had given her struck him like a bolt of lightening. She didn’t even care about the benefits that would come from their divorce. In fact, she hadn’t even spent a single penny of the money he had given her over the years.

“Natasha, what kind of woman are you?”

…….

The morning sun shone brightly as Natasha packed her belongings at Liam’s apartment.

“Baby girl, are you sure about this?” Liam had asked her countless times. He was worried for his bestfriend.

The night before, Natasha had told him about everything that had happened at the Steels Mansion, making him furious.

Liam wanted nothing more than to give that foolish Stephen a piece of his mind for making his friend cry and hurting her in such a cruel manner.

What kind of a man was he?

After crying her heart out, Natasha had confided in him that she wanted to leave the country the following day.

Liam tried to persuade her to stay, but Natasha had made up her mind. She needed a new environment to start afresh, away from all painful memories. It wasn’t about seeking revenge. She just wanted a new life to pursue her dreams. That was her goal in life.

She gave Liam a sad smile and nodded “Yes Liam, I need a change of scenery, a new identity, and a new circle of people. Staying in this country will only bring me bad luck. I hope you understand” she said calmly, to which Liam nodded in understanding.

Natasha was grateful to have some clothes at Laim’s apartment, even though it wasn’t enough. After all, Liam had been the only friend she made during high school. So it was understandable that she will have some few clothes at his place.

“I am finished…….please, let me depart in a magnificent manner and escort me to the airport” Natasha joked with Liam, whose eyes were now watery. He was sniffing already.

“Come here, my girl. I will miss you greatly” he said, pulling Natasha into a tight embrace.

Liam hated the Steels family. Had it not been for them, his best friend wouldn’t be separating from his now.

“Do not be sad. You can come and visit wen whenever you wish. Remember, it’s is your parents who are helping me stay with them overseas” Natasha comforted him.

Liam snickered “Those people? Oh please! I will come visit you, but not in that house. I will stay in an hotel,” he exclaimed, rolling his eyes. Just the thought of his promiscuous parents overseas gave him headache.

Natasha chuckled and surveyed her surroundings to ensure she had not forgotten anything.

Satisfied that everything was in order, she turned to leave as Liam grabbed his car keys and her luggage to depart from the house.

Suddenly, Natasha felt nau stand quickly rushed to the bathroom to vomit.

She stayed there for a while before emerging with a slight pale face.

“Oh dear, are you alright?” Liam asked with a knitted brow, concerned laced in his voice.

“I think so. It may be because I stood in the rain for a long time waiting for you” Natasha replied nonchalantly. Feeling another wave of nausea surface, she swallowed and took a piece of gum, placing it in her mouth to alleviate the discomfort.

The two then left the house and headed to the airport. It was not easy for the two best friends to part ways, but they had to when Natasha’s flight was scheduled to depart.

“Make sure to call me once you arrived!” Liam shouted after her.

Natasha turned and smiled at him before making her way to departure. Tears welled up in her eyes, and her heart ached at the thought of leaving her old life behind. Above all, she hated the fact that she was leaving that unappreciative man.

She had loved him all these years and heck, she still even love him. But what was the use of it now? He’s cold hearted and ruthless. Moreevee, he’s finally going to be with his childhood sweetheart.

Natasha heart ached even more she thought about it. She prayed that she would never encounter him again in her life. And if perhaps they do happen to cross paths in the future, they would be nothing more than strangers.

“You can do this, Natasha! Your future and dreams are right in front of you. Go and seize them!” She whispered to herself, and like a magic portion, her mood lifted as she borders to the plane to embark on her new life.

“She just left the country Boss!!” The person over the phone spoke.

Silently, Stephen disconnected the call and shut his eyes tight.

Something didn’t sit well within him. He felt a void, as though he had irretrievably lost something dear to him. His heart became heavy and the happiness he had after signing the contract was all gone.

“Natasha………..” he whispered, his voice barely audible.
