He kept staring up at her, waiting for her reply when Kira snatched the test results from him, she smiled and said, "you're mistaking me for someone else. I should get going".
She walked round him and halted again, "where's my stuff?"
He had his head bowed, his shoulders sunken. A broken man. Yet he stood to his feet with a smile, "you plan to raise that child alone?"
"It's none of your business and you should apologize first. For kidnapping me without knowing me", Kira blinked.
"Lana...
"It's Kira", she cut him off, "...my stuffs?"
She watched him swallow the lump in his throat and she held tightly onto her dress. A man worth a billion more than Harry was standing before her, and she would give anything to be the woman he wants right now.
How kind of life to mock her even on the day she got dumped and rejected by a clown.
"It's in your room", he smiled.
Kira scoffed, "I don't know who this Lana is, but it ain't me okay? I have much more things bothering me, so stop all this and get my stuff! I've never been in your house before, neither do I know you!" She lost her cool.
He chuckled, "you've changed as well. I've never heard you raise your voice. What were you planning to do next? A face surgery?"
Kira hissed, "yeah. Anything to be away from you!" Her pain had turned to anger and sadly this pitiful man had to be on the receiving end.
"You should be grateful I won't take advantage of you. Now get my stuffs before I bring this house down!", She growled.
"You really.... You really hate me now", his voice broke but he smiled and walked past her. Out of the door and down the stairs.
Kira gave a sharp exhale. Cleaning her eyes with the back of her hand. She sniffed and followed after him.
The sight was something else. The bedroom was nothing compared to the living room. Just how rich was this man? And who exactly is he? Should she just impersonate this Lana of a girl and live here? Give her unborn child a home and a father?
"Kira!!" — she scolded herself in her head for having such thoughts.
"Why would whosever give up on such life for a mere $500 million. He looks like he give more than that daily!" - she thought to herself as she bit her lips. She would just never understand the world of the rich.
She had descended the stairs fully and stood in the living room when the man disappeared through a door. Another door opened behind her and Kira turned on her feet. It was an elderly woman.
She gasped and rushed to her, a painful slap landing on her shoulder, "Lana! How could you do that to the young Master!", She glared at a shocked Kira who's hand held her stinging shoulder. "You told me of how you loved him. Do you know how broken Sir Mason has been in the past two weeks! I can't believe you young lady!"
The young god stepped in from the door he'd disappeared through, with Kira's bag, shoe and phone in hand.
"Mason... So that's his name" - Kira thought to herself.
"You're back", the older woman smiled with a slight bow. Mason nodded and turned to Kira, "here", he handed her her stuffs.
"You're leaving?" The older woman asked with a frown, she gazed intently at the man who'd grown beautifully well, she'd been with him ever since he was a baby. She gasped at the redness of his eyes.
"She didn't come to stay Lydia", Mason replied and turned to Kira again, "the driver would take you", he muttered and left them, taking the stairs back up.
Kira exhaled and checked her phone immediately, she pursed her lip into a thin line at the realization that she could be dead for a year before anyone would realize she was gone. "Not one missed call. Not even a message. I have no one", she muttered to herself with tears in her eyes.
"What's going on Lana? Did you both break up? Did you just make him cry?" Lydia fired her with questions.
"I wish I was the one to make him cry!! I wish I was the reason he went on his knees begging for me to stay!! I wish I was fucking Lana!!!" — she wanted to yell all of this, but she swallowed her spittle, fiddling with her handbag as she smiled and turned to leave.
Lydia stood puzzled, staring at Kira walk away.
She walked outside and she felt her heart ache even more. The compound was bigger than anything! Why wasn't she Lana! Why wasn't Harry like Mason!!
The driver ran up to her, "ma'am", he bowed, stretching to take her bag from her but she stopped him. He simply understood and turned, "this way", he gestured and led her to a waiting Porsche. It wasn't the gray SUV now. Her eyes scanned the fleet of cars and she sighed before going in.
She sat in the back and he ran round to take the driver's position. Igniting the engines and driving out of the compound. Just as he was out from the gates, he hit the brakes at the honking of an incoming car.
He rolled down windows and so did the driver in the other car. A stunning young man, a million times better than Harry but nowhere close to Mason. Life didn't have to state it in clear fonts that she'd have nothing to do with these kind of men. She simply looked away.
"Is that Lana? Is she leaving already?" , The other man had asked and she could hear her driver respond with a "yes sir".
"I'll drop her", the other man had said and Kira's neck snapped immediately. She exhaled loudly. She might really loose it if she spends another second with some hot god who keeps low-key embarrassing her whilst mistaking her for some Lana girl. How could a lady involved with such hot gods even look like her?!!!
The driver rushed down to her side and opened the door. "Yeah. I might as well live like a queen for just today" - she sighed to herself and alighted. The other dude was already out and waiting with a bright smile.
He seemed the same height with Mason, more athletic build but Mason had beat him in the face card game. "Hey", he called out and she noticed the dimple in his smile. Mason didn't have one.
"Stop comparing them!!!" — she mentally slapped herself.
"Let me drop you off instead, if you don't mind", he continued with his smile and she nodded and went round into the waiting door that was already opened. "Tell Mason I'll be back", he'd said to the driver who bowed in respect and stood till they drove off.
Kira sat beside him quietly, keeping her eyes completely out the window as she fiddled with her dress.
She could feel his eyes constantly glancing at her and when he couldn't keep quiet no more, he smiled, " wow", he laughed, "just wow. I must say, the resemblance shocked me too Kira".
She turned immediately with wide eyes.
"Yeah. I know you're not Lana, but I need you to be her, Miss Kira Smith", he turned to her with a smile.
