As I walked down the hallway, I kept smiling and saying thank you to every guest I met who greeted me one after the other.
And when I got away from them, I immediately went straight to the pathway leading to my twin sister’s room.
I’m panicking right now that’s why when I got there, I immediately opened the door and said, “Freya—”
But I was left speechless. That’s when I caught Freya making out with Lucas Woods. And they seem like enjoying it… together.
When Freya took a glance at me, she just continued giving Lucas a kiss as if she didn’t see me at all.
Not again, I exhaustedly thought.

But then I just received a laugh from both of them. “Just be my impostor for tonight, okay?” Freya said.
I came back to reality when Lucas Woods gave me that get-lost-look with disgust in his eyes. My heart ached a bit; I felt insulted seeing Lucas Woods vibing with Freya.
Freya and I both turned 18 years old now and have yet to find our—I mean, her mate. And maybe it was Lucas and that’s how their making out made sense now.

I looked down. My grip on the doorknob tightened until I completely closed the door to exit that room.
Just as I was leaving, Alpha Dominn, my Dad, came in front of me with his beta.
Dad smiled sweetly at me.
“The visitors have been waiting for you, Freya. What took you so long?” he asked.
I felt nervous causing my hands to shake. Freya has been asking me to pretend to be her here in the palace for a long time. I have no choice but to follow her because between the two of us, Freya has the authority. Also, even if the world is turned upside down, she is still my twin sister. So, when she is too lazy to do her duty, I am the one who is perverted to do all that.
And when that happens, she will only leave the palace to attend ball parties, and what’s worst is that she often just flirts with the men she wants to play with.
This is the first time I faced Dad in an appearance of my twin sister, so now, I don’t know what to do next.

When I heard that, I let go of the doorknob. I was hurt upon hearing that.

“Mia!” Dad said with his brows furrowed.
I snapped out of reality. I realized what I just said a while ago. And now, Dad’s face is furious.

I thought Dad would slap me but I was wrong when he angrily walked straight to the door of Freya’s room and opened it.
In front of Dad, Lucas appeared who was currently getting dressed.
Freya, who has already clothes on, looked at Dad in shock but it was too late when Dad walked close to her.
He grabbed Freya’s wrist and looked at it. Anger drawn on his face. Dad let go of her wrist. That’s when my eyes widened at what I saw.
There was a pupmark visible in my twin’s wrist and it’s growling alive.
White pupmark symbolizes that she-wolves got pregnant by their mate, but my twin sister has black.
I gasped and covered my mouth in shock and said no way, because Freya’s pupmark meant, she got pregnant by the wolf who is not her mate!
But how? I thought, her mate was…
I looked at Lucas kneeling in front of Dad. “Forgive me, Alpha,” he said straight, “Your daughter just forced me to do it.”
“What?!” Freya immediately defended.
Lucas ignored her and just faced Dad and begged in despair. “She put drugs on my drinks and I just woke up . . . that everything has already happened.”
“We both like it, Lucas, what the f*ck are you saying?!” Freya shouted.
But Freya received nothing but a strong slap from Dad. Freya got out of balance and sat on the floor and cried out in pain.
“Freya!” I called my twin sister’s name.
I quickly walked over to Freya and held her arms. I looked at Dad in disbelief. I can’t believe that I am seeing his intense hatred towards his favorite daughter in all of a sudden. He is horrible.
I looked at Lucas Woods. Oh, right, Lucas is his beta too, his most trusted beta. That’s why I’m no longer surprised if Dad believed him more than his own daughter.
“Guard!” Dad suddenly shouted. Later two guards arrived. “She’s now a rogue so throw her to the Kingdom of Avalonn—where BloodPearl Pack is.”

The guard held my arms. At first, I thought I am the one who will be seized but my eyes widened when the other guard tied up Freya’s arms. The guard dragged Freya away until they just disappeared.
“There is a baby inside her womb! Dad, are you still even thinking?!” I shouted at Dad who had no emotion on his face and just looking straight at the guard.
“I despise people who could bring curse in my life,” he said coldly and looked at me.
“Dad . . .” I said. I really can’t believe it.
“From now on, you will act as your twin sister, Mia Eveleigh. It’s your job, isn’t it?” he ordered me sarcastically.
“No!” I answered firmly, causing Dad to stop.
I bravely stared at Dad for a long time. But then he chuckled. “Then what are you going to do? Follow your sister? You’re going to the Kingdom of Avalonn—for what? To welcome your death?”
My fist clenched in anger. “I’m gonna save my twin and I’ll prove to you that your beta is a liar,” I said and turned away.
But before I could step out, Dad spoke again, “If you just only know how dangerous Magnus Haven is, the Alpha of BloodPearl Pack. You’d rather just stay in this palace and follow my orders.” Dad said it deeply as if he was warning me so that I could stop.
Dad added, “Pretend to be your twin sister, that’s an order from your Alpha.”
Dad continued walking and passed me, so did Lucas who was already behind Dad.
Meanwhile, at the end of that day, after Dad ordered me to pretend to be Freya in front of many people, he announced to everyone that the birthday celebration was over. He excused himself to everyone that Freya just felt bad and was resting in her room.
But that night, I immediately packed and didn’t think twice about running away from our palace.
Before I could completely leave, I turned back to see the palace I came from. There I also saw the light of the full moon.
