POV: Allison
My sister smirked with pride, obviously enjoying my misery. I felt my eyes tearing up again as I looked at her, wondering what I ever did to her. I held back my tears. I won't let them see my tears; that's a promise I made to myself, and I intend to keep it.
"You know what? You two deserve each other!" I thought within myself, shaking my head in disgust as I turned to leave with tears dripping down my cheeks.
"Don't you dare walk out on me!" Ariana yelled at me, trying to pull me back, but she slipped and fell to the floor, hurting herself.
I heard her scream in pain, and I felt her pain too because of our twin bond. I wanted to turn back and help her, but I saw that Williams was already by her side. I felt so jealous when I saw the way he looked at her with affection and shielded her from danger, something he had never done with me before. There were people gathered around to watch us, and I felt guilty under their scrutiny and judgmental looks.
"You saw that, didn't you, Willie?"
She did it on purpose!
She pushed me down, hurt me, and our baby. I want her punished for this. I want to see her sprain her foot too, so I'm not the only one limping around the pack!" she let out fiercely, sobbing in pain to look pitiful.
"You have got to be joking, right?" I asked her, giving everyone a surprised look.
"For fuck's sake, you all saw what happened, didn't you? It was a mistake, and I..."
"She pushed me, Willie. She pushed me on purpose." She told Alpha Williams as she sobbed pathetically. I told him I was innocent, and insisted they watch the CCTV footage to see what really happened. But no one cared about the truth. All he cared about was that his precious mate was hurt, and she hated seeing me flaunt my beauty and walk around when she couldn't.
To make her happy, Alpha Williams shifted in anger and pounced on me, biting down on my legs and sinking his canines into my flesh deeply, hurting me.
He had my legs broken when he knew very well that I couldn't heal like everyone else because I'm wolfless. He shifted into his alpha wolf and bit down on my limb, tearing through my flesh and breaking a bone before he stopped. He did this to make me suffer even more. I couldn't leave the pack now because only the pack doctor could help me heal my fractured bones.
I yelled and screamed in pain, feeling the searing pain from the fracture. I yelled not just from the pain, but from the fact that I'm stuck with my sister in this hellhole until my bones heal. I looked up and saw the look on my sister's face. She was practically living her dream, enjoying the moment and savoring it like a good meal.
That moment, as I limped and walked away in pain, I swore to cause more pain to Williams and teach my sister a lesson. This time I'm not holding back. I'll fight back.
The next day, she was well again. Her wolf healed her fracture and restored her legs back to the way they used to be. Whereas I limped around the pack for over three months. It took even longer to heal because I wasn't given time to rest and speed up the healing process. I took time off work to rest and heal, but Ariana decided to torment my life by taking everything from me, including my room and the omegas assigned to me. I needed time to heal and make arrangements to leave. So, I had to put up with her... for now.
Refusing her orders meant more trouble for me. I didn't want anything to keep me here longer, so I did everything she asked of me, plotting my revenge in my heart. I was forced to stay in the shadows, forced to watch her living my life and getting treated better than I ever was.
This went on for over two months. I knew I couldn't live the rest of my life in the shadows, so when I could walk again, I dropped my resignation letter at work, explaining to my bosses that I'm relocating out of the city. Then I visited the courthouse to visit an old friend.
Martin was the only friend I had while growing up in our pack. He and his sister were my only friends until the rumors started flying around that they were rogues. Mom wouldn't let me be friends with him for that reason. Their family left our pack after that, but I kept in touch with Martin and Miranda.
After my marriage to Williams, I'd tried to reconnect with my friends. But somehow, he already knew the story and warned me to stay away from the rogues. I listened to him, and I started to stay farther away from my friends. Now that I think about it, I feel so stupid for doing everything he asked of me. I lived just to please him. I did everything the way he wanted, putting his happiness before mine. I was not loved at home, so I felt content with the little affection I got from him.
"Hello Allie, I was expecting you sooner than this," he told me sadly as he pulled me into his arms for a warm hug, bringing tears to my eyes with his kind words and comforting gesture. Apparently, he had heard about my sister and my husband. Everyone had heard about it, and they felt sorry for me.
"I don't want pity, Marty, I want a divorce! I'm leaving the bastard and I'm taking everything I deserve and burning the rest to the ground!" I told him, spilling out the pain in my heart and my plans to make them pay. He smiled at my confidence, reassuring me of his support.
"Williams may not know it, but I made him who he is today, and I intend to take back everything. I would destroy him the same way I made him!" I swore painfully.
