Ji Hyo just arrive at her Campus, she is walking by her self and going to her class to attend the first day of final test. It is already the end of semester. Soon she will have a long holiday after finishing her exam. Ji Hyo is about to take a faster step when she recognize Jong Kook appears from a building that is far away in front of her. Their eyes meet but the awkwardness can’t be avoided. Jong Kook walk into Ji Hyo direction, both of them are walking silently. While Jong Kook look intensly to Ji Hyo, she just look here and there to avoiding Jong Kook's gaze, like always.
“this is not right Ji Hyo-ah... he is your lecturer, there is no poin in avoiding him like that, you have to greet him politely” Ji Hyo tell her self to break the ice between them.
She gathers all of her courage and turn her head, trying to stare at Jong Kook to greet him but she is become speechless because Jong Kook is glaring at her. They end up having an intens eyes contact before switching their own gaze in a rush. Without any greeting the two awkward people continuing their journey to the opposite direction.
“aih... how can I greet him when he glare at me like that, I'm really scared” Ji Hyo mumbles to her self.
“why doesn’t she said anything? Not even a single word?” Jong Kook is wonder. He doesn't aware that he just scare the little girl away.
Ji Hyo's first day of final test is finished well, she feel hungry and ask Ji Min to have a luch together but her friend still have a conversation with her lecturer. Ji Hyo decide to wait her classmate for a while. In the middle of her activity, Jong Kook walks in front of Ji Hyo with a young girl. They have a friendly conversation and smiling at each other. They looks really close.
Jong Kook is aware by Ji Hyo's existence. He know that she is sitting alone. But it seem that the girl didn't give any attention toward his direction. He continue his walk with Soya. They are going to have a lunch at the nearby restaurant.
“who is she? She is not a student here, and she look too young, she looks like a high schooler girl, is he some kind paedophile Who prefer a very young girl?" She is staring intensely on Jong Kook's back who is walk further. The man excitedly talking with his nephew, it's been so long since they meet each other. They laugh together with whatever they are talking about.
“Ji Hyo yah.. I’m finish” Ji Min appear after finishing her business with the professor.
“let’s go! quickly!” Ji Hyo stand up in a rush and pull Ji Min's hand. She is determined to follow Jong Kook.
She knew where Jong Kook will go, he is walk toward a nearby restaurant that often visited by the students and lecturer in this Univesity. She is also a regular customer at the restaurant, so she think that no one will suspect her if she want to spying the lecturer there. People would think that she only come to have her lunch. Even Ji Min can't imagine that Ji Hyo take her there due to another reason, to observing Kim Jong Kook.
When they reach the restaurant, she find Jong Kook and his girl is waiting for their order while having a happy chit-chat. She doesn't want to Know what are they talking about. She just want to observing Jong Kook's expression when talking with the girl. Jong Kook notice Ji Hyo's arrival and it make him put out a satisfied smile.
The two bestfriend order sushi and a bottle of soju, both of them really enjoy to drink. Jong Kook staring at Ji Hyo's food and sigh a little. He is wondering, why she has to drink in the middle of afternoon. That is not really good for her health.
“Samchon, your mother ask you to visit Home even for once, it was a long time since you visit her, she is very sad, she told me to tell you that she miss you a lot” his nephew give a family information to her uncle.
“I miss her too Soya, but it just not easy to meet father” Jong Kook talk sadly while remembering his bad relationship with his father.
“it has been 2 years from the last time you visit your family samchon” the Young girl remind him.
“yeah, and the last time I visited is when I have a big fight with my father right? Well how is your school Soya? You said that you really want to be a student of Kirin art high school, you want to be a singer” Jong Kook drive the conversation into another topic. Not really comfortable talking about his father.
“yes samchon, it’s my first semester, everything is so excited there, I live in school's dorm” Soya talks about her school life with a lot of energy, she is so excited about it.
“you will grow up and become a good singer Soya” Jong Kook stroke Soya's hair and smiling sincerely.
“what a sweet smile, he must be really into her” Ji Hyo is staring at Jong Kook direction. She is mesmerized by his smiling eyes. It makes her decide to never look at his direction again because his sweet smile annoyed her. He never give her his best smile.
Ji Hyo try to focus on her meal and the conversation with Ji Min. They are talking about Jong Ki's new drama. At this time Jong Kook is the one who is looking at her direction.
“is she not even staring at me? Is she not curious who is Soya and why are we so close together?” Jong Kook is curious of how the girl being so ignorant toward him. She just eat happily and chating with her friend. He thought that she never staring at him even for once.
“of course she is not interest, she has someone she really love” Jong Kook remind his self. The thought of this really annoy him.
“do you in love with someone Samchon?” the young nephew surprise him with a sudden question. Her word makes the muscular man spout out the tea which he drink just now.
“why are you suddenly ask me that Soya?” Jong Kook clears his mouth with a tissue, he messed up and it make the little girl chuckling.
“nothing, I just heard from granpa that you will marry Ye Jin sister” said Soya to Jong Kook.
“another arranged marriage? Is it so hard for father to let me handle my own life?” Jong Kook mumbling to his self but Soya can hear it clearly. He is annoyed. It is not the first time his father trying to set up his marriage with any woman from a rich family. It makes him sick.
“that’s why Samchon, you need to bring your girlfriend home, did you not moved on from Eun Hye sister yet? " Soya is merely being curious. She may look young and yes she is, but sometime she is mature enough to understand the situation around her.
“I moved on Soya” Jong Kook smile gently. The memory of his ex girlfriend is already blurry in his mind.
“so who is she?” Soya ask another question enthusiastucally.
“who do you mean by who?” Jong Kook is being shy, he can feel that his face become red. Somehow the question automatically makes he thinks about a certain someone.
“ah Samchon, you are in love with another girl right? You are being shy all of sudden." It's clear that the muscular man can't hide anything from his little nephew. She is teasing him even more and make the lecturer being nervous.
“No... No... I don't love her... Well yeah I admit it, I adore her But it is not love Soya...." Jong Kook is really confused. Why is the little girl infront of him can guess so easily that he is being in love. He didn't even tell her any single words about it.
“Uncle.... I swear I notice you keep switching your gaze toward another direction. You are staring at that pretty woman with her long black hair right? The one who wear a purple skirt?" Soya is indicating at Ji Hyo Who is not really far from them.
" You looked even sad and disappointed because she never look back at you right? Actually you try to make sure that she is jealous to see you with me. But it seem that she isn't even interest... that’s why you look disappointed” Soya whispers to her Uncle, making sure that other People can't hear her.
“yes...” Jong Kook answers with a weak voice.
“wait.. what? What did you say? No that’s not true! Yah how could you think so?” Jong Kook is panicking. He is being too loud and attract the attention of the other customer. He stand up and apologizes after realizing that he is bothering everyone. His face is redden with embarassment. He catch Ji Hyo and Ji Min are gazing toward him with a strange expression. It makes him feel worse.
“yah Soya lets go” Jong Kook lead Soya to leave the restaurant. The nephew is following her uncle. She is still giggling, when they reach Ji Hyo table Soya simply greet her with a bow but Ji Hyo is not aware about it.
“what a cute guy” Ji Hyo thinking about Jong Kook misbehaviour and it's make her smile.
“yah Ji Hyo-ah, Don't you think that Mr Kim is kinda strange?” Ji Min ask her friend, it is unusual for her to witnessing the serious Lecturer being all different outside the class.
“why?” Ji Hyo is curious about her friend's opinion.
“he is really annoying and scary at class but he change into a sweet and gentle guy outside. But looks what did he does just now, he is kinda sloppy...." Ji Min expressing her opinion about the muscular lecturer.
“yup... He is so strange and annoying....” Ji Hyo agreeing her friend's opinion “but somehow cute” and continue her word in her mind.
Suddenly the sound of a television news catch their attention.
“breaking news, the actor Lee Dong Wook is dating acctress Lee Da Hae, they were spoted dating together in London. There’s no confirmation from both agency, Lee Dong Wook is still busy with his shooting schedule while Lee Da Hae can't be contacted” the MC of SBS television informing the news with a serious face. There is a picture of the two selebrity at the TV screen.
The news giving a thunder and haunting Ji Hyo's mind, her heart is smashed into pieces. She did tell her brother that it was okay for her if her love story is always be a oneside love story, but she never know that the reality can hit her so hard. She is blank. Her eyes is already filled with tears and blurry her gaze.
“Ji Hyo-ah....” Ji Min call her friend sadly. She always knew that her friend love the actor so much. She knew it since high school. Ji Hyo wipe her tears and smile to Ji Min. But her heart is crying.
