DOMINIC
"We're already on our way sir, yes he's right next to me..." I watched from the corner of my eyes as my secretary eyed me.
"I should give him the phone?" She said pushing her phone towards me as I took it.
I let out a little sigh, I pressed the phone against my ear.
"Dominic.." My grandfather called. "I'm glad you honoured the blind date I set up for you."
Did I have a choice actually? This mad man threatened to evoke me of my position if I kept ignoring my dates.
“You do know I have a lot of work on my hands, old man…” I said, my tone edged with irritation.
“Work, work, work,” he snapped through the call. “Do you plan to work yourself to death before my time, or are you trying to make sure I die before I ever see a grandchild from you? You selfish bastard…”
My eyes rolled so hard they nearly hurt. I parted my lips, ready to fire back something sharp, but before a single word could leave my mouth, Ava’s elbow dug into my side.
I glanced at her, and she was already shaking her head, her eyes silently warning me to let it go.
I let out a hiss and face straight ahead.
"Last week alone I went on 49 blind dates." I said.
"And you couldn't match with a single woman? I'm beginning to believe the rumors are true. You must be really into men." Grandpa said as the color drained out of my face.
"I'm not gay old man."
"Are you sure? 49 beautiful, well educated women and they all come from good families. And not one single one caught your interest? You better come out clean to me now let's figure this out."
"Grandpa, are you sure you're not beginning to show signs of dementia?" I said and I knew a blew a fuse the moment Ava slapped her hand over face and drags it down in exhaustion.
"Listen here you little shit. This is your last chance. I don't care of you propose to this woman today. I better hear you ended up having a second date. If not, I'll hand over your position to Sylus.." the call ends and I'm furious, my grip tightening around the phone. He wouldn't dare.
"I'm pretty sure the chairman didn't mean it." Ava muttered trying to calm me down.
"I'm pretty sure he's serious. I mean he handed over the alliance with CORT group to him. I can't let him give everything I worked for to that sleazy bastard." Sylus said.
"So what are you going to do?" Ava asked.
"Exactly what he wants of course. I'll propose to this woman no matter what." I said confidently.
"Isn't that too sudden. Why not set up a second date so you can both know each other Mr Hayes. You barely know anything about her."
"We'll know about each other then moment we get married." I replied.
"But but, no woman out of the blue will agree to marry you suddenly. Infact she might think you must be out of your mind." Ava said.
"Ava, am I repulsive?" I asked as Ava blushed.
"Not at all Mr Hayes." She replied. "Infact it's you're extremely attractive and charismatic. No woman can resist your charms." Ava said as I nodded.
"I just need to charm this woman and act smitten by her and in no time she'll fall for me. Then I can propose. Order me a ring, your choice one she wouldn't be able to say no to." I said as Ava picked up her tablet by her side and starts shopping online.
"Tell me about this woman?" The little I know about her would work in my favour.
“Rebecca Marlowe. Daughter of Elijah and Annabelle Marlowe. She’s a practicing lawyer working at her father’s firm. Twenty-seven. Never been in a relationship. Extremely shy, doesn’t drink, and conservative in her ways.” Ava rattled off.
I arched a brow, glancing at her as she continued without pause.
“She has black hair and will be wearing a black bodycon dress. She said she’d be working close to the bar and would stop by for the blind date.”
Ava finally exhaled, clearly satisfied with her briefing, while I leaned back slightly, letting her words settle. A slow, almost amused smile tugged at the corner of my lips.
Too easy. But then I noticed something.
"Black hair? Does she perhaps have olive skin?"
"How did you know sir?" Ava muttered surprised. Because almost all the woman from the previous blind date fit that description. This old man was using type against me.
"Can I get a picture."
"I wasn't able to get one. Miss Rebecca is very private. You just have to see her for yourself." Ava said which was fair.
The moment we arrived at the hotel. I got down from the car panning my head at the back seat window where Ava had it wind down.
"I'll pick up the ring and meet you back here Mr Hayes. Goodluck on your date." She said as the driver and her both drove off.
A woman in a black dress? I stood in front of the bar and immediately walked in to the dim settings of the bar. Most eyes were on me especially women. I strut around searching for a woman with black dress.
The first woman I laid my eyes on, her hair was blonde. The second woman has her eyes all over me with her friend by her side while the third was skimpy and not conservative at all.
Then I met hers. A woman wearing black, modest, her heart nearly put in a bun. That must be her.
I walked over to her, till my hand was pressed against her back.
"I hope you didn't wait too long, Rebecca right?" I said as her back went stiff and she turned too look at me, her face contort in confusion but then lights up in a second.
"Julian." She said jumping at me and pulling me into a sloppy, slow and wet kiss. She leans back a little. "I missed you baby." Her voice was sultry and tempting like the stench of alcohol in her breath. I was stunned and then remembered she didn't take alcohol. Was that a lie? She even called me by the wrong name.
"It's Dominic..." I corrected her as her face contorts in confusion. I looked over to the bar stand table. She had downed almost an entire bottle of hard gin.
"You're drunk. I thought you didn't take alcohol." I said as she pressed her body against me. Her soft body against mine as she flutters kisses up my neck to the point my dick was bulging against her.
"Does it matter." She said as I swallowed, her voice was thick with seduction. "I missed you." She paused, looking around and before I knew it she was leading me towards a corridor that that led restroom. She opened the door, yanked me in and pulled me for a kiss. Her hand on the door knob, with her back against the door as she slides it shut. Our moans fills the atmosphere and suddenly I wondered what was up with this woman. This isn't the shy woman Ava talked about. Infact she was audacious to say the very least.
We both pulled away from the kiss as she pushes me back a bit and goes down on her knees. "I'll suck you good, the way you like it." Her hand tugs to my belt but I put my hand over hers to stop her.
The moment I looked down at her, confusion contorts her face and the audacious woman from earlier seemed to have disappeared for a moment. She looked, nervous.
"Did I do something wrong?" She asked in an innocent soft spoken voice. Completely different from the temptress she'd been cosplaying.
"No." I shake my head. "We can't do this here." I said. "Let's go to my condo."
