CARA’S POV
"We're meeting with our management in an hour." I sighed, as Rose groaned.
"But I don't want to!" Jenna whined, fake crying into the couch pillow.
"What do they want?" Tess mumbled.
"Just to talk, they said. About what's been happening, about the music, I guess. Just simple stuff. Hopefully."
"It still can't be good, what if it's about all the twitter drama." Rose made a point as we all sat around the lounge in thought.
"Whatever it is, we've got this okay?" Tess reassured, before her phone began to buzz in her pocket constantly.
She looks at the screen and smiles. "I've got to take this."
"Hey babe" We hear her say cheerily as she's walking out, shutting the door behind her.
"She's still talking to Noah?" I rose my eyebrows. "I thought they were done.. As in over."
"Yeah, but you know Tess." Jenna muttered. "She's Tess, she can be soft about things. She can be gullible too."
"What exactly did they get into a fight about?" The red head questioned, looking from me to Jenna.
"The distance. How Tess would be too far away most of the time and that they couldn't be together because it wouldn't work out."
"Well what made her be with him again?"
"I don't know, that's a question you should probably ask her yourself." I shrugged.
"Well it's hard, what if there's a reason she's not telling us this stuff." Jenna plays around with her bracelets.
"She could tell us anything, she knows she can trust us." Rose reassured with a small nod.
"So you and Noah still on?" I blurted out just a few moments after she came back into the hotel room.
"Oh yeah, about that.. We decided that we gave it a try you know, the whole long distance thing going on. You guys know I love him and--"
"Love? Tess that's a strong word." Rose lightly chuckled, as we all look at her.
She blushes, looking away sheepishly. "Well, I do so.."
"You're sure?" I hummed, wrapping an arm around her shoulders as she leans on my side.
"Yeah, I know it." She whispers.
"Well that's cute." Jenna simply sums up as we end up laughing.
"Oh, we should probably get going to that meeting." I remembered. "The last thing we need is being late, they might be even more pissed than expected."
"Yeah, Cara's right." Rose agreed. "Let's bounce."
"Boing boing boing," Jenna giggled, holding a hand to her mouth.
"Jesus Christ, Jen." Tess laughs along anyway, playfully bumping shoulders with the girl.
"Let's go." I stifle a slight chuckle.
.
"Hi girls, how have you been?" Stacey smiled at us quite fakely if you asked me.
"Good. Or on second thought do you want an honest answer?" Rose spoke with a bit of sarcasm. "Because we are having such a sucky day so far." She snarled, as Jenna holds back a laugh. I was unamused, elbowing her roughly.
"Sorry." Tess quickly apologizes for Rose, as she starts to bite her nails again. She was nervous.
"I'll be subtle." Stacey has an icy smile on her face, as I avoid any eye contact.
"Why the hell, would you even think to start any drama with Five Seconds of Summer?"
My eyes widened as we all began to yell over each other, as Stace flinched, closing her eyes.
"They started it!" Jenna shook her head. "They disrespected this band first, and it's always been like that!"
We look at Jenna like she's crazy for just saying that out loud as Stacey frowned.
"What did you just say, Jen?"
"Um.." She mumbled, looking away.
"It's always been like that? What do you mean, you've known the boys before?"
"Not, known.." Rose's voice trailed, as she sighed.
"You girls can say anything you want, this room is sealed and will be until the end of this meeting. Remember that."
"We've had a rivalry thing going on in the past, and it's been, left unanswered." I decided to just tell her, after all.. It's already been brought out, our secret past.
"That night, we were all part of an amateur contest for bands and we've had some beef ever since, seeing we were a freaking tie at the end of that competition." I continued, pressing my lips into a thin line.
"A tie.. So, how come we didn't know about this in the beginning?" Stacey had confusion written all over her features.
"Well, we didn't know it would be so important until now. I mean, it was a contest for a bunch of nobodies. We didn't know we'd all be in the music industry in the future." Tess fidgeted slightly, tapping her foot.
There was a long tensed silence, making me even more anxious than I should be.
"But Stace, they started it. We had no bad intention of--"
"Yes, we did." Rose cut Jenna off. "They think we simply aren't good enough to be a band, and so do we to them."
She looks at all of us in the eyes before letting out a breath. "Alright then."
"Alright? Is that all you're going to say?" I blurted out.
"Yeah, yeah it is. And I want you girls to make sure, you will tell no one else about the beef you girls had with them back in the day. Past is past, and now this is the real deal. Don't accept or deny anything when the press asks about them, and definitely do not bring the situation up. Do I make myself clear?" She looked a mix of calm and stressed at the same time, if that was even possible. "I'll figure something about and think about it over night, I'll talk to the staff.. We'll meet you girls again for a solution."
"A solution? There is no solution, we're simply.. Enemies." Jenna interjected, her steel blue eyes narrowing.
"It's a bad image in front of the press, and your fans. Girls Like Boys, is supposed to be a friendly band. Not a band who hunts down for other bands to taunt on twitter. Alright? Make friends, with them. Clear up all the drama." She suggests.
"You're asking us to be friends with them." Tess laughs disbelievingly.
"I.. I'm not sure if we could do that, Stacey." I seriously spoke, my eyebrows furrowing.
"This is only if your secret past reaches the press and finally, the public. But if nothing of the sort happens, then we keep all of this on a low profile." She motions, sipping from her coffee.
We all looked pretty stunned and shocked all in one, as Rose groans.
"Yet they started it." She reminded, as I look at her warningly. If we piss Stacey off, then we piss the entire management off, and we're done for.
"I'm pretty sure, they have a smart management team. They can use that, and not bother the situation even more." Stace reassured, but there was this different expression on her face.. As if she had something else in mind.
Anyway, I chose to ignore it.
"Alright. We could keep it all on a low profile." I agreed, nodding slowly.
"Great." Stace hums. "I'll see you girls soon, alright? I have more clients coming in pretty soon."
We all find our way out, as Jenna closes the door behind her quietly.
"So what now?" She glanced at me, as we walk down the hall.
"We do what Stace says."
CALUM'S POV
"No.. No no no. We can't have them open for our tour!" Michael shook his head. "What is this? A tour in hell?" He panicked.
"We agreed to have a good time on this tour." Ashton agreed, shaking his head as well.
"We can't have them on tour." I finally say, as I sighed.
Luke had his head in his hands, sitting there in silence.
"They're opening, just like they did for One Direction. And it's too late, have you seen what people are talking about?"
"No.. We're too scared to see what's going on, on twitter." Luke mumbled, shrugging.
"Well think again, because it isn't just twitter. Now it's on E! News, it's all over the tabloids.. Press is swarming with the new found information that you guys have some sort of tension. You boys and Girls Like Boys."
"So now you put us on a tour together? How does that suddenly fix things?" Ashton asked.
"Get along with them."
We all suddenly burst into laughter, even if it was the worst moment to ever laugh..
"I'm being serious, boys. This isn't a joke, this isn't a good image in front of the public. Getting into trouble with a girl group? They're girls, and they're basically the punk princesses to the whole world. If you hurt them, then people will definitely start something."
It's true. Why did they have to be girls? Ugh. It would've been so much easier, if they were dudes.
"We'll do anything, except go on tour with them." I reassured.
"The other solution would be to date them."
Luke made a disgusted face, as Michael face palmed.
"There isn't any other way.." Ashton was now panicking, running his fingers through his hair.
Who knew this meeting would be.. A dread.
"We can't do this," Michael whispered, leaning back in his seat.
"I'm sorry, boys. It has to be done."
"Can't we just wait until the rumors go away?"
"Not positively sure that'll work. Rumors will always be there, until you decide to do something about it and stand your ground."
"We can't get along. It isn't possible." Luke simply said. "Even if we tried, we'd end up right back where we started."
