Chapter 4

Riley’s pov

Worse, I could feel his hard crotch pressed against me. My face went pale.

“Get the fuck off.” He grunted.

“I’m trying—“ I pushed against his chest, feeling his warm skin with his chest hammering so hard.

“I’m—“ he grunted, shifted underneath me. “You’re making it worse.”

“What?”

“Just…” he grabbed my waist, lifted me and practically threw me out of the tub.

I landed on the bathroom floor with a thud, my towel was nowhere to be found so I grabbed the first thing my eyes fell on— a robe hanging on the door and wrapped it around myself.

Zavi was still in the tub, he was heaving, his grey eyes had darkened.

He was angry, I could see the way his hand gripped the edge of the tub and the way he clenched his jaw so tight his muscle twitched.

“Get out!” He snarled.

“I’m sorry—“

“Out now.”

I scrambled out of the bathroom, ran across the room, and pressed my dripping-wet self against her wall, breathing hard.

Oh my God.

I replayed it all in my head.

No, no… we’re not thinking about that. In my defense, he didn’t say a word to make me realize he was in there, plus the damn spider!

The bathroom door opened.

A few minutes later he stepped out with a towel around his waist, water dripping down his chest. His grey eyes glanced at mine. I quickly looked away, biting my lip shamefully.

I stayed pressed against the wall, the robe was thin, so thin that I could feel every drop of water still clinging to my skin.

I let out a shaky breath, my body still tingling, I could feel the heat of how his skin felt on my palms, his hand on my hips and …

I squeezed my eyes shut. Stop it… just stop it.

I pushed off the wall and started pacing back and forth, my bare feet padding against the cold floor.

This was totally fine, I just fell naked onto my mortal enemy and felt his—

No!

I paced faster, brushing my hand through my hair.

His crotch, how big it had felt pressed against me. It was hard

I slapped my hands over my face, my cheeks flushed.

What is wrong with me?

I was supposed to hate that arrogant sexy bastard, he shoved me into lockers and always going moments to humiliate me in front of the team.

I stopped walking and pressed my palms to my eyes, taking deep breaths.

You’re fine, just—

The bed creaked behind me.

I spun around quickly.

Zavi was sitting in his bed, already in sweatpants but still shirtless.

I gulped as the water beads trickled down his chest. His grey eyes stared at me darkly. “What the fuck were you thinking?”

“What?” I blinked

He rose and walked toward me, towering over me. “Just today you have made me hit my anger threshold over and over again, quit being a nuisance.”

It’s not my fault you’re everywhere. I almost rolled my eyes.

He clenched his jaw. “Even worse, I have to spend the rest of this year stuck with you as a roommate.” He growled. “Perhaps I should report you to the coach.”

“No.” I grabbed his arm.

He stopped to stare down at me, I quickly pulled my hand away from him. “Sorry— you can’t do this, I—“

“You what?” His brows flared. “This shit is annoying and I don’t see myself dealing with it for the next year.” He cocked his head to the side.”

“N-no you can’t.” I chuckled nervously, circling him to the front. “I can’t lose the scholarship.”

“Do I look like I give a damn?” He scoffed. “If you’re eventually caught I would be seen as an accomplice, I will not be risking my precious identity for someone like you.” He continued to walk into me, and I paced back trying hard not to touch him.

“Please, I’ll do anything,” I begged. “Anything you ask.”

He stopped.

“Anything?” He asked, and I could see the faint trace of a smirk.

“Yes, anything.” I agreed.

“Well for starters…”

God, what the hell have I agreed to?
