*Five years later! *

“Dad, you must see this file!

Our little princess has contributed a lot to our family business.”

It’s been five years, and my dad hasn’t forgiven me for my wild adventures. So, this business file was one of the countless attempts of Howard for our relationship.

As usual, dad didn’t spare a glance for my achievements and asked.

“Did anyone know that it was her idea?”

Howard’s face lost all its colors for a moment, he looked at dad helplessly.

“No, dad!

I know that no one should be aware of our little princess’s presence …”

“Good!”

Dad nodded, handling him another file.

“Go and attend the meeting with clients. I don’t want any mistakes.”

Well, there was no need to instruct my perfectionist brother, it was just my dad’s method to ignore me. Seeing my dad’s no-lift mode, I nudged my elbow in Howard’s rib cage for our next move.

He took a deep breath and spoke cautiously, “Our little princess has tackled multiple projects single-handedly, bringing great fortune. Now, she wants to start her own business …”

This unusual news froze my dad’s hands on the laptop’s keyboard, he raised his brow and scoffed.

“A business?

Totally rubbish!”

His straight-forward refusal was quite expected, but I had done so much for the family’s glory that this opportunity seemed like my right. Dad didn’t consider my hard work, ignoring it like nothing, my rebellious side was ablaze with fury.

“I deserve to own my company, dad. Can’t you see …”

Dad listened to my protests with icy glare, and then took off his glasses,

“Only living beings like Howard can own a company, princess. Have you ever heard about a ghost in a thriving business?”

His statement hinted towards the plight of my life, frustrating me more. I touched my silky white hair involuntarily and growled back at him.

“I am not a ghost, but an Alpha wolf, dad. You can’t imprison me in this Palace for my whole life.”

Howard hurriedly grasped my hand to stop me, but I had successfully offended the devil. The fury was evident from my dad’s red face, he took out a brown envelope from the drawer and threw it on the table.

“I, King Vindel Burdock Ambrosia of the East, have only one son according to the records. You don’t even exist in the East Royals family tree …”

“Just because of a stupid prophecy!”

I cut him off sharply, “No one remembers that decades’ old crap, dad. Those crackheads were mistaken.”

My heart hitched to my throat as dad got up and roared in his Alpha glory.

“Oracle Delilah wasn’t wrong, princess. If it was the case, how can you explain your white hair, silver eyes, and birth at Christmas?

She had clearly said that such a girl will bring disaster to the North Kingdom!”

The mention of that wretched prophecy turned my mouth bitter, that was the reason my dad couldn’t acknowledge me in public.

Well, I wasn’t supposed to be alive as the King of the four Kingdoms signed a treaty to kill that girl right after her birth. However, my mom died during labor, her last wish on the deathbed saved my life.

So, here I was, locked in the thick walls of the Palace, living the life of a prisoner.

The situation escalated pretty quickly as we repeated the years old arguments again, but Howard had a trick up his sleeves.

He finally showed his trump card in the end, “Dad, witch Alicia had read her fortune and gave us hope for the future.

Our little princess can live a normal life with her soulmate.”

Mr. Savior aka my unknown mate bestowed upon by Moon Goddess was my dad’s kryptonite, he was outclassed by Howard’s mastery.

“But we haven’t found our princess’s mate in our Kingdom.”

“That’s the point, dad!” Howard immediately proposed a solution.

“We haven’t found him in the East. What about widening our search area and starting to look in the South Kingdom?

The North Kingdom is her enemy and the lycans live in the West Kingdom. So, the south is our best shot.”

My dear brother prepared a persuasive speech, convincing my dad with his exceptional skills. Eventually, my dad couldn’t resist the allure of my soulmate and surrendered.

“Alright, you can go to the South Kingdom and conceal your identity like before.

And one more thing!

Hayley will not go with you.”

Leaving without Hayley was a heart-rending decision, but I agreed for the sake of our future.

"As you say, dad!"

“These are the legal documents of your sports agency, little princess. Welcome to the world of cheating and deceit.”

I rolled my eyes at Howard’s dramatic tone; he was behaving like I was new to the ebbs and flows of business. But he was persistent, warning me.

“Working behind the scenes and on the front foot are drastically different matters, little princess. You must be extra-cautious.”

Howard registered my company under his loyal assistant’s name, appointing her as my boss.

“Daleyza will ensure your safety and guide you in your new journey, little princess. You will work as her secretary in the office.”

“No! Please brother!”

My pitiful cries didn’t melt Howard’s stone heart, he was one step ahead of our dad.

“Lake city is the business hub of the South Kingdom. Not to mention, Alpha Xavion is a successful businessman and a national star here as well.

I just want you to be safe!”

Xavion!

This name refreshed the lacerations deep in my soul, aching my chest. After that painful breakup, I hardened my heart, giving up on my obsessive love for him. That asshole had ruined my life with his betrayal, playing with my heart like his other girlfriends. Obviously, I was a fool who trusted a celebrity blindly.

Based on that grim experience, I decided to follow Howard’s words and collaborated with Daleyza. She was a delicate girl of my age. Our friendly duo completed the formalities in a record speed and invited media representatives for a press conference at the inauguration ceremony.

Due to Howard’s influence, our small company got plenty of attention, journalists from every prestigious media platform attended the event.

“Why do you think that your new company can stand a chance among successful agencies, Miss Daleyza?”

As the owner, Daleyza was facing tough questions from the press, I was instructing her for answers through a hearing device. She was handling them like a pro.

In this public event, I was ignored just like we wanted, my cinnamon omega scent even offended some guests in the hall. Everything was under our best control until a girl raised a query.

“Have you planned to approach the football star, Xavion Waller, for this season, Miss Daleyza?”

The deafening silence engulfed the whole room in a jiffy, leaving me aghast. I was frozen to my spot, unable to react to this question.

The scenes of my heart-rending past flashed across my mind, stabbing my chest with a silver blade. Suppressing my agony, I could only utter an incoherent response.

“No!

We will never sign him!”
