My eyes slowly fluttered open. Kai sat quietly beside me with my hands in his.
“Kai…” I draw out slowly.
Tightening his hold on my hand, he sniffled. “You're up?”
Nodding, I reached up slowly and dabbed off his tears. “I'm fine. Stop crying.”
