“What? Is that the only word you can say?” He irritably said but still he keeps me out of danger. “Just stay there and don’t do anything stupid.”
I just stand there scared, though I couldn’t take my eyes off of him because the way he fights mesmerize me. Watching at him I knew he was strong to face those monsters yet I can sense that they getting bigger. I don’t know but, the more he slay the more they come and… “Ahhh!” I scream when one of the monsters suddenly comes at my side.
“Darn it!” I heard him said before he slices it to ashes and I was fall on the ground. “Will you please take care of your wound?”
“What?” I asked him unaware of what he just said.
“You have a cut in your wrist. And this is the reason why these Reapers won’t stop coming because of the scent coming from your blood.”
I quickly look at it and there it is, I have small wound and it is bleeding and it seems I got this when I fall down in fear after seeing that monster earlier.
I quickly pulled out my handkerchief out of my pocket and quickly tie my wound. Then I look up to him. “Will this be fine?” I asked him for the fear that it won’t help even if I tie it up.
He slices one more monster or ‘Reapers’ as what I heard from him. “Let’s go!” he handed his hand at my front but I just stare on it. “What? Do you really want to die here?” he asked in a cold tone.
“Wh-where are we going?” I asked and I couldn’t help not to stammer.
“We need to find another place, a much wider place.”
I look around and I can see that we were on a small room, a place that doesn’t fit to fight with these monsters that keeps coming.
“O-okay…” I said though I feel hesitant to come with him.
“Don’t think too much! Come! We need to hurry.”
I look at his hand one more time before I hold on to it and to my surprised he pulled me closer to him. “What…” my eyes gets wider as I see his eyes once again, those golden red eyes.
“Don’t look if you’re afraid of it,” he said before he rushes out of that place.
At the tallest building of District Five
“What’s happening?” I asked as I learned about the Reapers that was going wild at this moment.
“Rafa’s team was assign at the north part of the District Five and it seems Master Chisuke was the one confronted by those wild Reapers.”
“And for what reason?”
“Because of a human, a lady who eventually got a cut and it seems her blood was the reason why they getting wilder.” His right hand explained.
I look at the dark horizon. “Send some back up.” I ordered. “And we need to hurry.”
At the North of District Five
He found a wider place to face those monsters and he quickly put me down after we landed on the ground safely. Although it seems those monsters multiplying more and I know he cannot fight it all alone.
“Darn it.” I heard him cursed.
“I… I think you should live me alone.” I said although that is not what I want.
“Do you think I cannot handle them?”
“O-of course not! But the thing is… I’ll be your burden if you continue protecting me while you were fighting.”
He didn’t answer but he deeply sighs. Then another wave of monsters attack us, if we were in that small room, only one to three monsters were rushing at us but now that we are here in an open space, an abandon building and we are here at the rooftop. They attacking in a group and all I could do is shut my eyes close and let them have me.
“Hey! Open your eyes.” I heard him but I still can’t. “Open your eyes or—ahhh!” after hearing his in pains I quickly open my eyes. “Oh, God! You’re bleeding…” I don’t know if it right if I ended what I just said in question but I choose not to.
“Huh!” he smirks as if it’s nothing. “He dared to scratch me.”
“But!”
“There’s no time.” he seriously said and with his eyes lacking at me, I slowly getting hypnotize on it yet I still ask him.
“Wh-what are you talking about?”
His eyes became getting deeper red, “I don’t want to do this but you give me no choice.”
“What--” before I could finish my words, he suddenly pulled me closer and slide to my left side. Before I can react I suddenly feel this burning heat through my shoulder. It is burning hot and I couldn’t figure out what he was doing, but the pain of burning was too much and I cannot hold it any longer.
I scream in pain until I lose my consciousness.

“Suk!” I hear my father calling out on me but I refused to answer. “Here you are!”
I heavily sigh because as always, he always finds me. “What do you want?” I angrily asked.
“Don’t used that tone on me, Chisuke.” It was calm but firm and strong and I already knew his mad, and all I could do is bow my head. “Take if off before the committee knows about it.”
“But, it just a mark.” I stated.
“No!” he answered. “Didn’t I tell you, you cannot mark any human when you aren’t at the right age?”
“I know…”
“Then, why did you give that young girl a mark?”
“It is because of her blood.” I honestly answered.
I heard him sighs. “Suk, she’s still young and giving her that mark means she will not be free. Remember what I told you, once you’ve given a mark to a human that only means she’ll be your wife.”
