Citizens of Allenwood are all descendants of Allen the rebel, a soldier of Fitnami a well-feared empire, Allen rebelled against authority and tried to take over the ruling power but failed, He narrowly escaped death and was forced to flee Fitnami with his 24 sons and their families, they found settlement deep inside the woods far north of Fitnami a place considered the land of the spirits and was often called the dark lands because of its cold weather. Allen had chosen that place because of two major reasons, first, it was regarded as the dark lands that killed people, so no one will think to look for them there, secondly, it was close to a stream, and he thought the flowing water was all they needed to survive.
Gradually Allen and his sons built huts around and mapped out roads, the lands seemed friendly to them as they lacked no food, and they soon became relaxed and continued life, the first three years they used to cut heavy tress clearing space, and building what is now the village center this was where Allen himself stayed as the ruling King, the whole mapped out area has a rectangular shape this was as a result of the trees they were able to cut down, He put all his strong warriors on the edges of the village and the weaker ones towards the center, after major constructions and access mapping to all huts and free lands for farming, expansion, and multiplication where done, Allen created a give and take place at the center where food was distributed to anyone who needs as long as they come with something of value, however, exceptions were given to the weak and wounded. This place eventually became the Allenwood marketplace.
Allen and his warrior sons enjoyed their newfound settlement for another three years. This was so because the Sun had been very generous and they were yet to witness the harshness of the dark cold winter and what it brings with it. Towards the end of the three years of growth and peace, they were suddenly attacked by Fitnami soldiers, Allen lost a lot of solid warriors that day, and a lot of their women and children were kidnapped. This eventually became an occasional event. Fitnami soldiers came in whenever they pleased and destroyed any good in the new settlement, they wanted Allen's head, Allen had to flee again this time he was all alone, He went deep into the spirit woods.
Allen was lost in the spirit woods he had no idea of where he was going or the way back he got caught up in a heavy fog and now could not see where his next step will be, but he kept moving and often stopped to rest, He had spent days wandering without food and was now too weak to move, while he sat down at a tree foot He saw a pair of glowing eyes through the fog, he retorted
"WHO ARE YOU?!!, SHOW YOURSELF!!",
His heart skipped when he saw how big and fierce looking the werewolf was, he got to his feet ready for a fight as a held out his sword, he immediately lost his small confidence when he heard a snarling sound behind him, the fog cleared up almost at once and he could see that he was in the center of five fierce giant werewolves, he dropped his sword seeing clearly that he could not fight, to make matters worse the biggest of them spoke to him
"ALLEN YOU CAME INTO OUR LANDS WITHOUT PERMISSION, WE LET THAT SLIDE NOW YOU COME TO OUR SACRED LAND!!",
Allen concluded this was really the spirit lands, he dramatically went on his knees and said
"Help me conquer those who kill and destroy my people and I would serve you, please"
The fierce-looking beast snarled at him and they all came very close sniffing round him, Aleen was no longer terrified he had accepted to die.
All five werewolves bit Allen, then the Leader of the pack spoke to him again.
"NOW YOU HAVE THE POWER TO DESTROY YOUR ENEMIES BUT YOUR OURS FOREVER",
all five wolves made a deafening howling noise, then left. Allen was weak and in serious pain from the bites he opened his mouth to speak but could not, he dropped to the ground his vision became blurry, and gradually he did not feel anything again, and yet he could not move nor speak, he laid on that sport throughout the day...
As the moon came out Allen woke up stronger than he had ever felt before, he realized he could not stand upright and he could see clearly in the dark, he automatically knew his way back and could smell the Fitnami soldiers, at their scent Allen was filled with rage and he transformed into a full-blown out werewolf, everything was clear now, he was one of them, he was bloodthirsty and dashed out heading for the settlement he got to the village center in no time and was surprised how fast he was, a voice in his head was speaking to him, at first he concluded it was his thoughts but it continued calling to him ALLEN ALLEN.
As he was about to pounce on one soldier the voice stopped him and cautioned him to take them out one after the other, Allen obliged and took out 13 of them quietly in the dark nite, he completely killed 9 of them, and the other 4 were turned into werewolves by the next night under his command.
By sunrise, Allen was stronger than how he was in his youthful days, He came back confidently to the settlement from the deep woods, Surviving citizens were all afraid and worried.
They wondered what killed the soldiers at night and they feared the consequences it would bring, Allen tried to convince them he now had the backing of the spirits and that no one could hurt them again, but this came with a lot of objections and disbelieve from broken spirited citizens, he went on to set his captured warriors free.
This set the tone for an imminent war with the Fitnami empire, although there was never any spelled-out war, the Fitnami soldiers came to oppress them from time to time in great numbers but all died thanks to the help of werewolves, the people of Allenwood took all Fitnamis soldiers weapons and used them to strengthen themself and to develop, this continued for a while until the ruling powers of Fitnami decide not to venture into the spirit lands again, freedom, it was for Allenwood until they discovered they had bigger problems.
