Isabelle Foxworth walks into The Red Cross Blood donor bank just as she was stopped just outside of the building.

She was trying to find purpose to live a fruitful life, she said. "I saw your flyer and I would like to know, how could I save a life?"

Saving a life. What does it mean to save a life? Is this new life mission of his make him have a firmer resolve?

Her mother just died last week from an illness she concealed. D*mn this life.

The Illness was something she didn't see coming.

The Illness was something money cannot buy out of.

The Illness was something that rendered her useless.

How she wished she could have saved her mother's life.

So here he is at least trying to save herself from wallowing even more in self loathing.

Here she is trying to find a purpose in life.

"You came to the right place." The receptionist stated.

"Can I donate anonymously?" She asked.

"We can withhold your name when we process your blood." She replied.

He nodded. "Why'd you ask?" She eyed him curiously.

"I have a very rare blood type and I don’t want anyone to know”

"How rare is your blood?" A strikingly handsome man comes up to her interrupting her and rendering her immovable and speechless.

"Please tell me you are AB negative?"

Isabelle stared at the beautiful man in front of her, speechless, she just stared at him.

She frowned.

Her family once told her if other people find out about her rare blood type, they would flock to her like vultures.

"I will do anything, just tell me, the man pleaded." The handsome doe-eyed man asked her.

Isabelle turned to the receptionist and asked,

"Can I come back another day?"

"Of course ma’am, you can." She responded smiling.

"Tell me, what do you need for your blood?" He says following her.

"Please, I am not interested. "Isabelle stated, resisting as much as she could. She quickly walked out of the donation center towards her car.

"I beg you, please?" The man ran after her.

Isabelle thought, 'why is he so desperate?'

"I am not a stalker, I promise you." The man said as he touched her shoulder.

She took a deep breath  and slowly turned around.

Brown smoldering eyes welcomed her. His ear pierced , a powerful aura that was intimidating but his eyes even with how sharp they were could not hide intense worry in them.

"I am sorry. I do not know you." Isabelle said as she held on tightly to her last resolve.

She was beyond attracted to the alpha in front of her.

And the alpha should be aware by now because of the strong scents emanating that the omega was flustered, nervous, and needy.

"If you want me to mate you, I will, I just need your blood." The alpha said as he leaned towards Isabelle.

He had smelled the slight attraction from her but it was not intense, maybe a mere attraction.

Isabelle turned around hesitantly and looked at him.

The man handed her his business card.

"Think about it, please?" He said as he looked deeply into Isabelle’s eyes.

Zayden Prescott  President and CEO Langford  Corporation.

"Sorry, I have to go," Isabelle said as she turned around and pocketed the card.

That was two years ago and somehow Isabelle has lost hope about making her alpha fall in love with her or mate with her.

Everything was a lie and everyday her hopes shattered. Zayden bought her a house, no, not a house, a prison, where she was supposed to live with her husband.

But Isabelle stayed at the house day in and day out, only seeing the alpha when he decided to drop by to see her before Alison’s blood transfusion.

Isabelle looked out the window, with rain pelting so hard.

Marriage It was all a big joke.

She hoped she could turn back time and didn't allow herself to consent to this arrangement.

She left her life, and her family, with the hopes that she would find love with Zayden but she was losing hope.

Whenever she looked at the alpha, she felt like he looked at her as if she was translucent, like nothing, like a dishrag in fact because after donating blood, she was back to being one.

She heard the keys jingle as she was reading a book.

She looked up and immediately smelled the alpha's intoxicating scent.

The harsh truth was he would smell incredibly s*xy for her when he needed her to donate blood.

For the two years they have been together, Isabelle should already be immune to it, but her omega gives in every single time.

"Vi?" Zayden calls as he approaches her.

She just looks up at him, resisting to approach him, to feed his ego.

"My mother said you visited them? How sweet of you" Zayden said as he caressed her head.

'I am not your pet.' Isabelle disdainfully thinks.

"Yes, I did." She smiled weakly.

"That's great." Zayden sat down, forcing himself to smile at his wife.

Isabelle did visit them, they made her wash a week's worth of laundry, ironing them and putting them back in their closet oh and mop the entire house after cooking a week's worth of food.

Her pheromones must have given off a bitter, foul scent but there were scent blockers, ones that Zayden gifted her with.

"Does Alison need blood transfusion, is that why you are here?" Isabelle asked as she continues to read the book.

"Yes, tomorrow, I need you tomorrow." Zayden says as he stood up.

She knew it. It was like a clockwork and she sighed.

"Okay then, I will be there." She said before the alpha walked out the door.

Alison, one of Zayden’s childhood best friends who was engaged to another best friend of his.

They were out partying one night two years ago when they got into an accident.

Zayden who was the driver was a bit drunk when he collided with with a 16-wheeler truck that killed his best friend and caused serious injuries to Alison, requiring regular blood transfusions.
