CASEY'S POV
"Derek, are you serious right now? Do you want to reject me, all because of her?" I asked, releasing my hand from his waist as tears welled up in my eyes immediately while I stared at him in awe.
"Just accept my rejection," he said, making me move away from him slowly.
"Okay, I accept your rejection, Derek," I voiced in anger.
I could feel our mate bond breaking, but it doesn't really matter now because he made me do it. I just couldn't help but continue staring at him.
"Now let's go back to the party," Addison smiled at him.
She grabbed hold of his hand, pulling him along with her, but he looked up at me once while she continued pulling him.
They both left the house, making me fall on the floor immediately, weeping bitterly, as I had never expected this to happen.
We just made up, and now this was happening; he was finally gone, and I could no longer have him again.
I thought within me, finally releasing the tears I had been trying to hold back.
My tears poured down like rain, while I couldn't help but wonder how I was going to cope without him in my life. I have no family, and he was like my only family, but now he had finally left me.
I thought as more tears flowed down my cheeks. I had plans to tell him about my pregnancy after the coronation, but now there was no need for me to do that anymore because she might also request him to make me get rid of my baby, and I don't really want that right now.
I just found out the previous day about my pregnancy, so I planned to break the news to him as a surprise, but he was the one who gave me a surprise instead.
I thought and couldn't help but feel so devastated and couldn't even think of going out of my house, as the pain of losing Derek was so unbearable for me.
I wished I could just kill myself, but thinking about my unborn child, I felt the need to live on.
"I need to leave here now," I said to myself as I started packing my things, and within a few minutes, I was done.
I waited until it was nighttime because that was the only time I could leave without anyone noticing.
Once it was dark, I made my way out of the house without any hesitation, leaving the Pack for good.
FIVE YEARS LATER.
"Mummy, what are we going to have for breakfast?" Ava asked me as I helped her get ready for school.
She was really a handful, and I loved it so much. "Mummy, you aren't responding to me," she said, shaking my hand and snapping me out of my thoughts.
A smile played on my face as I stared at my daughter, who was holding onto my hands.
"Come on, Ava, you shouldn't be thinking about breakfast right now; you need to get ready for school," I said and continued dressing her up.
"You are dressing me up already, so what's left to do?" she asked me, making me sigh softly, realizing she was actually right.
"I still have to prepare your brothers for school too, so be patient, okay? We will all have breakfast together," I told her while she faked a frown.
"Okay," she bit her lower lip, making my smile deepen.
I finished dressing her. "Go ahead and have a seat; I need to attend to your brothers," I said while she nodded and quickly started running off.
Adrian was the next to come to me. I didn't hesitate to take him to the bathroom, where I bathed him and dressed him too.
After a while, we were all seated at the dining room to have breakfast. "Mum, I have a question for you," Andy spoke up, making me sigh softly as I faced him.
"Andy, can't that question of yours wait until you get back from school? Because you are running late already," I told him, while he shook his head negatively, saying it couldn't wait.
"Okay, go ahead and ask me," I told him while he smiled at me.
"Mummy, when are we going to meet Daddy?" Andy asked me, making me widen my eyes in disbelief.
"Yes, Mummy, we want to meet him," Ava added, while Adrian also spoke up about it.
"You can't be asking me that right now; you are already late for school, so just eat up so you can get going," I said, ignoring their questions, as I didn't know how I was going to answer their question.
"Mummy, why are you trying to skip our question? Please give us an answer; we need it," Adrian insisted, making me take a deep breath.
I looked up at him again and shook my head negatively, realizing I wouldn't be able to make them forget about it.
I knew a day would come that they would ask me about their father, but I never knew it was be so soon.
“You all need to observe proper table manners, besides I don't remember teaching you this,” I pointed out, trying to stop them from asking further questions.
“We are sorry mum, but we couldn't help it but be curious about our father. We must have a father, right?” Ava asked me, while the other stared at me for a respond.
“Yes you have one, but I won't be talking about him right now, but I promise to answer all your questions once you return from school. For now, just eat up," I spoke to them calmly, hoping within me that tthey would just listen a quit the question.
"Okay, Mummy, we are going to do just that," they said in unison.
They finally faced their food, and I took a deep breath. I felt at peace now that they were calm as I also ate my food.
After taking them to school in the morning, I got myself engaged with my job, and once it was time to pick them up, I didn't hesitate to go over there.
I strolled into their school as I headed to their classroom, hoping to see my kids running towards me as usual, but there was no sign of them.
I was really surprised but decided to continue my walk. Once I entered the classroom, I gasped, realizing it was totally empty, but I saw their teacher sobbing in a corner.
I moved closer to her without any hesitation.
"Where are my kids?" I asked her as she tried to speak but was choked with tears.
Somehow I started feeling uneasy, and couldn't help but wonder why she was that way.
"I really don't know why you are sobbing, but just tell me where my kids are. I need to take them home," I told her.
I needed her to really speak this time because I wasn't finding his crumpled tears funny anymore. I was slowly getting bothered by it.
She slowly turned her face to meet mine, wiping the tears from her cheek. I just stared at her impatiently.
“Speak up already,” I barked, totally losing my cool.
"They were kidnapped," she spoke the word that made me froze.
