CASEY'S POV

"What… are you talking about?" I stuttered over my words.

Moving closer to her. I didn't want to believe what she had just said about my kids.

"A few minutes ago, some men were here, and since they were the ones outside the classroom, they took them away," she explained, as panic washed through me.

“Why the hell are my kids outside all alone while you are in here?” I inquired of her, but she remained calm.

“They were waiting for you, just like always,” she explained.

She was right; that has always been our routine.

"No, this can't be happening," I shook my head negatively, not wanting to believe it, as I moved closer to her.

"Where the hell are my children?" I grabbed hold of her as she broke into another round of tears and couldn't respond to me anymore.

Hot tears clouded my eyes, and without any hesitation, I released them but kept asking her to provide my kids.

I sobbed uncontrollably as I sat on the floor, thinking of how I was going to be able to save my kids.

I was nothing more than a weakling, and that made me no match for whoever had kidnapped my children, and I couldn't do anything to save my kids from them.

But I can't live without them, so I'm not going to allow anyone to just take them away. I need to find them, but where do I start? This question popped into my head as I kept lamenting on the floor.

"Ma'am, I suggest you contact their father so you can both start your search for them before it is too late," the teacher suggested, making me realize I have to do that, as their father was an Alpha.

"Yes, I should do that," I said, standing up immediately as I stormed off.

Within a few minutes, I found myself at the pack I had once run away from five years ago.

I sighed softly once I arrived at the Packhouse, as all the incidents that had happened in the past replayed in my head. I stood still, wishing I could just go back.

"I'm doing this for my kids," I told myself, with my eyes shut before I continued.

I met the two guards who were at the entrance and stopped. "Ma'am, how can we be of help to you?" one of the guards asked me, stopping me from going any further.

"Well, I'm looking for your Alpha. Is he in?" I asked him while he stared at me for a while.

"Yes, I will go and tell him he has a visitor," he said.

I just sighed softly as he walked out of the entrance while I watched him from behind.

I hope that Addison won't stop him, as she is full of nonsense and doesn't like me, just as much as I don't like her.

I was still dwelling on my thoughts when he called to me, snapping me out of them. "Casey."

"What a pleasant surprise," he grinned, while I shrugged as I went straight to the point.

"I need your help; our children have been kidnapped," I told him directly.

"Which children?" he asked with a raised brow.

"I was pregnant when I left the pack five years ago," I spoke up, making him stare at me in awe, his mouth wide open.

"What the heck are you talking about?" he asked, his voice clearly showing his confusion.

"Hmmm," I exhaled and I looked up at him to see his gaze fixed on me.

"I had already found out about my pregnancy a day before the coronation but planned to break the news to you after the coronation," I said, pausing to catch my breath.

"Then why didn't you tell me after the coronation?" Derek asked, making me sigh softly.

"After everything that happened between us on coronation day, I couldn't bring myself to tell you about the pregnancy," I explained, making his face turn into a frown.

"So you mean you were pregnant back then and felt it wise to run away without letting the father of the children know about it?" Derek asked, and I could see anger pulsing through his veins.

"I'm sorry, but I have a good reason for doing that," I told him.

He faced me again with a questioning gaze.

"What is your reason then?" Derek asked me.

I took a deep breath and cleared my throat.

"Addison made you do what you did, so I was afraid she might also do more if she finds out about my pregnancy," I explained, but he just stared at me.

"Even though you were afraid, you wouldn't have just left with my baby without informing me," he sighed softly, while I kept calm.

"So tell me, why are you telling me this now? Don't you feel I might harm the children even now?" Derekasked me, making me swallow hard as I stared at him.

"Do you intend to do that?" I asked him, and he smiled and said he was just kidding and that he would never hurt his kids. I sighed in relief.

I glanced around, hoping that Addison wouldn't just show up anytime soon.

"But how can you feel comfortable keeping a child from his father for so long? I mean, it's been five years already," Derek spoke, making me frown immediately.

"If I had told you about them, what would you have done for them?" I asked, getting pissed about the whole thing.

"I'm their father, and I deserve to be in their lives, no matter what," Derek respond ed.

I looked up at him with a frowning face.

"If I had a choice, I wouldn't bother coming here in the first place because you really don't deserve to meet them," I told him.

"You are wrong for keeping them away in the first place, so accept you're wrong and apologize for it," he blurted out.

I couldn't help but keep arguing with him about the whole thing, as all his actions back then didn't show he would be a good father to them; he just rejected me all because of Addison, who wasn't his mate.

"That's not your decision to make, and besides, you can't blame me for making Addison my Luna because I wasn't the one who asked you to be a weak Omega," Derek told me.

I smiled weakly, not believing that he just said that to me.

"You are just so impossible," I yelled while he smirked at me, making my frown deepen.

"Even if I was a weak Omega, the least you could do was accept me and try to train me to become a better version of myself, but you didn't do it; you went ahead and took another lady as your Luna," I voiced my frustrations as he stared at me calmly.

"You don't deserve me or my children," I added, while he just sighed softly.

"I don't care about you, but I deserve to be with my children because that's what matters to me right now, so you don't have any right to keep them away from me for this long," Derek said while I swallowed the lump in my throat and smiled weakly.

I'm not going to stop talking about this because he was wrong, and I can't let him get away with his wrongs so easily.

"You should understand that you did something wrong and accept it, and also make up for it instead of standing here claiming that you did the right thing by picking anyone else as your Luna when you have a mate," I told him while he smiled.

"Okay, will you be my Luna now?" Derek asked me, grabbing hold of my hand and moving closer to me.

I quickly swatted my hand away from his and pushed him away from me.

"Don't you dare do something like that again," I warned him while his smile deepened.

He tried to grab hold of my hand again, but I continued making sure he didn't.

"I know you still want me back in your life, so I'm giving you a second chance to be in my life now, but Addison will remain my Luna," Derek said, making me boil with rage.

Derek is so impossible, and everything about him annoys me.
