"Yes, I know his identity," Mom said.
My heart jumped. "Really?" I sat up straighter on my bed, gripping the phone tighter. "Quickly, tell me."
A short silence stretched on the other end.
"I'm sorry, my love. It's confidential. I can't tell you."
My excitement dropped as quickly as it had risen....
