I still couldn’t believe it.
Not only did he helped me. He also apologize to me for his girlfriend deeds. Did his brain reset when he was away?
"isn't today colorful?" I ask my wolf Amber.
It’s been a while I spoke to her.
"I thought you shut me out" She replied and I chuckled.
I guessed she’s mad at me right now.
“I’m sorry Amber. I was busy” I said.
“That’s a lie” she retorted and I couldn’t help but chuckled again.
I dusted my clothe and turned to see him gone. My heart was still racing and I wondered why.
I parked the broken cup into the waste bin and walked out of the dinning room.
I headed to the kitchen and join the other omegas in preparing for the rituals.
It was dawn already as we were done with the preparation and here I am heading back to my room. I walk into my bathroom and within few minutes I was done bathing and I wrapped myself with a towel and walked out of the bathroom.
I dried my body and used my hair blower to dry my hair.
I picked out my white dress, that's my favorite dress.
I take it as a good luck charm, white is purity. I wore my matching bra and panties before I wore the white dress, I wore a white stiletto and sat in front of my dressing mirror. I packed my hair in a bun and applied light makeup. I want to look pretty today and I don’t know why. Maybe I’m quite happy today.
I applied a red lip gloss and smashed my lips together. I smiled looking at myself. I think I look like Queen Elizabeth.
" Don't flatter yourself," Amber my wolf said and I rolled my eyes not wanting to argue with her. I stood up satisfied at my reflection. I walk out.
As I near the celebration ground which is the open field of the packhouse, the Alpha King chose that arena because the full moon is most visible there. Sounds of music blare in my ear and I can hear noise coming out of the place.
"Hey Kim?" Jeannie nudge me on the shoulder as I try to wriggle my way through the crowd
I smile as I look at her. She looks so beautiful and participating just like me
"Wow….Kim you look so dazzling. So many signs that you’re gonna be meeting with your mate today.
I giggled and cross my hands over her shoulder
" We’re back to this again. But anyway, I hope so. Thanks, Jean, you look amazing too"
"My bad I'm blushing" She held her cheeks in a shy manner.
"Look Kim the moon is coming..!!" She shouted to my hearing because of the noise.
I look up immediately and damn! The Blue Moon is in its full glory shining upon us. I smiled and said,
"Jean I need to check something.”
I removed her hand from my shoulder, I walked off to the front. I was able to make it to the front after a series of bumping shoulders with a lot of people in the crowd.
The fire has already been lightened and the priest began with the ritual since the full moon is out. Some Omegas were anxious while some were excited.
I stood at a corner till the ritual was over, the moon is now big as it is now in full display.
A ball light was lifted to the sky showing that the ritual is over. I wanted to go to a secluded place as the noise was becoming too much but suddenly I halted on my step when a sweet and intoxicating scent caught my nose. I looked around to know where it's coming from but I didn't smell it from the crowd.
I trail the scent with my nose and it seems it's coming from my front.
Looking up, is the Alpha and the members of the council. The Luna, the Alpha prince, and my kid sister Grace.
"Could it be what I'm thinking?" I thought as the Future Alpha gaze was all on me?
He stood up, his gaze to leaving mine too.
I walked up to him and soon, I stood in front of the future Alpha. The sound of the music seems to has reduced.
"Mate" I muttered, as tears threatened to blur my eyes. The future Alpha was my long awaited mate?
Was he aware?
Is that the reason he helped me this morning?
My worst nightmare is about to happen and I don't think I'm ready for it.
He knew I'm his mate?
"So you knew I'm your mate and that’s why you helped me this morning but why didn’t you tell me” I said finally letting out my tears.
I look at Alpha Kayden and ask with a shaky and trembling voice
"Why?...why did you not tell me. Do you realize how I’ve longed for you.?" I roared suddenly needing an answer as an escape my head couldn't take.
"I needed a strong Luna to rule the pack with me, not a weakling Omega," He said without pity of how I had felt.
I look at him to see the man that uttered those words, the one I have always longed for, the one I have waited for, for this past two years. It was now I know what it means to be broken as I felt my heart break into million pieces.
"I cannot have you as my mate"
"I, Kayden Woods, future Alpha of the White moon park, reject you, Kimberly Burgs, as my mate and Luna.” He screamed looking calm making me wonder if he's still the same prince that saved me from my kid sister.
I felt my feet wobble as I cannot stand them anymore. I was so broken. He rejected me for my sister I guessed.
I wipe away my tears. He don't worth it. He doesn’t.
"I Kimberly Burgs accepts your rejection and relinquish my claim as your mate and Luna.”
I wipe my tears and giving him one last glance, I ran out.
