Chapter 3 Stay With Me

Christina hung up before Emond finished his words.

She could not listen any longer. She could hear Fanny's voice clearly on the other side of the phone.

It's ironic that her husband was having a candlelight dinner with another woman on the night of their wedding anniversary.

She didn't want to believe it, but it was the truth.

Fanny is really back!

Although Emond was unable to sense his destiny because of the curse, he is deeply attached to the young girl who came into his life.

Emond wouldn't be married to me if it weren't for who she is.

What am I?

His lover?

Christina was glad she hadn't told anyone about the pregnancy.

Emond's choice was clear. She had to accept it. Didn't she already know the end from the day it started?

Having bathed and calmed, she lay down on the bed.

Her mind wandered uncontrollably to Emond and Fanny. She buried her head in the pillow, trying to cover her confused thoughts.

As she drifts off to sleep, she gets a call from Mike, "Emond has had too much to drink and has been grumpy. Come quickly and take him home."

Christina was confused. Shouldn't he be with Fanny at the moment?

How come he’s with Mike now?

Before she could say no, Mike had hung up.

When she called back, his phone was off.

She pulled herself together, got out of bed, changed her clothes and asked the driver to take her to Mike's house.

She opened the door and saw Emond drunk. His blue eyes popped open, then closed again when he was sure it was her.

He reclined quietly on the sofa and fell asleep.

He was always alert, and even when he was drunk, he would not sleep completely.

His eyes were closed, his lashes quivering on his pretty face, his breath flat, and he fell asleep completely now.

Christina approached him cautiously, feeling strangely sick.

She's already having morning sickness reaction.

He could only bear it and looked at Mike. "Isn't he with Fanny? Why are you here again? And so drunk."

"You knew he was with Fanny?" Mike made no effort to conceal his sarcasm. "Your husband spends the night with another woman and you can still sleep that soundly."

Christina took a deep breath and said slowly, "We've agreed to divorce. He is free now. Who am I to interfere with who he wants to have dinner with?"

"You are very obedient." Mike sneered, "Won't you say no? He asked you for a divorce and you just directly agreed? Can't you feel how Emond has treated you these past two years? Can't you say a word to keep him?"

Mike was very emotional.

Christina looked at him in amazement. She remembered Mike always doesn’t like her.

When she married Emond, he was the most hostile and even quarreled with her on the wedding day.

"Aren't you supposed to be happy we're divorced?" Christina asked.

Mike, dumbstruck and aware of his excitement, paused, "Time can make a lot of things clear."

"Fanny doesn't suit him."

"Oh."

Christina motioned for the driver to come and help Emond into the car.

Back at the villa, Christina helped Emond to the guest room.

Emond does not allow her into his room except every full moon and does not sleep in hers as well.

This is how he clearly defined the relationship between the two people, but also constantly remind her of her place.

She's just his antidote. Don't try to cross that line.

Finally putting Emond to bed, she turned to run a bath in the bathroom.

When she came out, she saw him curled up on the bed like a child.

Emond, who is always on guard, is now sleeping with his guard down, not afraid that she will be bought by other werewolves to kill him.

Christina smiled and poked him in the face. "Emond, get up."

"If you don't get up now, I'll take you naked.”

There's no reaction.

The smell of alcohol on Emond made her vomit and she must let him take a bath.

Christina had no choice but to help him undress. Fortunately, Emond was cooperative and she undresses him without any trouble.

She helped him into the bathroom.

In the bathroom, Emond lied naked in the bath, his lower body hidden in the water. Christina couldn't help but sigh as she looked down at his bare skin.

Christina had never really looked at his body like that. His strong body was within reach, her heart thumping, and her face burning.

She swore that she simply wanted to give him a bath and had absolutely no other idea.

Christina took the shower gel off the shelf next to him and reached for the shower ball. Oh, where is it?

She stopped. Are you gonna squeeze it in your hands? She talked to herself.

Her hands move faster than her brain, and she's already got the shower gel in her palms.

Christina's hands were smeared all over her body, a shameful act that she regretted.

If Emond woke up now, he would think she was seducing him!

Christina ran out of the bathroom with foaming hands, gasping for fresh air.

It's still dangerous to leave a drunk man alone in the bathroom. She swallowed a mouthful of water and went back.

Emond remained motionless in the tub. She lathered him up again.

He was in such good shape that she couldn't resist touching a few more.

She'll never get another chance anyway, so she'll need to touch it more.

Her hands are also more brazen and her visible muscles feel great!

After finally getting him out of the shower and into bed, Christina thought he could finally rest.

Emond suddenly took her hand and whispered, "Stay with me!"

Christina's heart was beating wildly, and a warmth came through her fingertips. She had never seen him act like a petulant before.

Her heart softened.

I may never get another chance, so let's just think of tonight as the end of a good memory.

Christina lay down next to him and whispered, "OK."

As she tucked Emond in, she heard a slight snore. "Are you asleep?"

Christina's fingers caressed his face over and over again, then moved back into his arms and tucked into his arms.

She seemed to remember something again, so she quietly put her head out and touched his lips.

Having done this secretly, she lay down peacefully beside him and fell asleep.

In the morning, Christina was woken by the ringing of his mobile phone.

With a sense of sleepiness and some resentment at being awakened, she picked up the phone lying beside her pillow and answered, "Hello."

"You...... Who are you?" The woman on the other end of the phone was shocked.

Ah!

It was Fanny's voice!

Christina jumped out of bed with her eyes wide open, and the noise drew a cold look from the man next to her.

She's got the wrong phone!

Christina quickly slips the phone into Emond's hand and says quickly, "Fanny wants you."
