Ciara’s POV
“Take this!” I threw his son’s clothes at him. They were both shocked to see me there, seeing as they were locking lips when I arrived before them. “You have returned?!” The Alpha Asked me, his heart racing.
“Yes I have, a week after those rogues almost killed me and made me lose my children. I expected to see you in a caring state, at least planning vengeance on those who took our children, but this is what I see?!” I said to him.
“You’re being over dramatic!” He replied, barking at me.
Tears begin to roll down my eyes. “You know what? I am done. I cannot be with an Alpha who has found another Luna for himself. Let me, myself, go after my new Alpha.”
Turning around, I stormed off. Even upon hearing him shout my name, I didn’t even look back.
I went into my room and quickly began packing. I was going to leave this Aman pack to another pack where I would have peace.
I couldn’t keep seeing my mate cheat on me openly with another woman, coupled with the painful death of my little son.
Next thing, I saw him in the room.
“Why are you so angry, it’s so immature,” he smirked but I turned slowly, summoning a cold glare towards his direction, lips tight.
“If you really loved our son that much, you wouldn’t have left him in the house alone!”
The words were triggering. I felt like turning around and giving him a very hard slap across his face. My eyes turned bloodshot and I would shift into my wolf and tear him to pieces if not that he’s the Alpha..
He was more powerful than me and would certainly beat me up.
“Are you crazy?” I yelled at him, shaking my head furiously. “He wouldn’t have been alone if you came back at the usual time. I called you as soon as I reached home, but you were with Camilla where you were and answered but did nothing. You would have at least saved the unborn baby if you tried. You didn’t even come to visit me. I’m in the hospital for a week!”
For the first time in so long, I felt my words actually breaking through his stone cold heart.
“I… I…” he stammered for a while, before breaking off into something else.
“What are you doing?” He asked, for the first time he showed interest whenever I was going something. Sadly, it was too late.
“I’ll be going away, you can take Camilla to be your Luna.” I wasn’t even raising my face, until I finished packing.
“You really think you can survive out there without me?” He asked with a smirk. I didn’t answer him. I just kept packing my clothes. “You are too weak to survive out there alone. You need my protection.” He added. When he saw that his words meant nothing to me, he had to explore other options.
“I know what you want and I got you one,” he pulled something from his pocket.
A black card!
“I’ve given the golden one to Camilla to use, although worth thirty million dollars, I know she will manage it well.”
Electricity rocked in my chest and my entire veins hearing such massive amounts of money.
“Thirty million?” I lifted my cold eyes on him and he nodded, then I looked at mine, jealousy was already setting in.
“How much is this one you gave me?” I looked at the card with a smirk. I’ve often wanted him to trust me with something most valued by him. So far, this card is one of his most cherished assets, so I thought it would contain a huge amount too.
“Twenty- five thousand dollars.”
His words got me angry now, more than I ever was. I threw the card back at him, sighing and getting my ready luggage, opening the door only to meet with Hannah. Her face looked fake as she attempted to console but I didn’t give a fuck.
I stepped back, taking my thing and leaving abruptly. I passed Camilla as I headed down.
“Ciara please can we talk for a second. I didn’t mean to take your Alpha from you.” She told me.
“But he’s yours now anyway. You can keep him!” I barked at her, just before leaving.
After putting my luggages into the car, it struck me that I hadn’t carried my son’s picture, something I would use in remembering him at least. I had to go back upstairs.
The door to our room was half opened and I heard their mutters. I paid close attention and what I heard them say sent down shockwaves through my spine.
“She is finally gone and that was all I prayed for! He said to her.
“Exactly,” she replied. “Even if killing her didn’t work, at least she has gone.”
I quickly took out the phone and video recorded them.
“But why did you have to kill the boy too? You were supposed to kill only Ciara.” Alpha Alexio asked Camilla.
“They said it was wrong timing. The Luna wasn’t around and the kid woke up and saw their faces. You know how discrete they can be.” She explained.
The Alpha sighed. “At least we got our mission complete. We can now be together.
The sad revelation almost made me drop dead. It turns out these two connived to kill me. It was no wonder he didn’t bother checking me up in the hospital or even saving me when I mindlinked with him.
After recording enough, and hiding my phone back, I opened the door at once, entering with a made up confidence.
“You are both evil! I said to them.
“She heard us.”
“Yes I did.”
“Well, it doesn’t matter. She has no proof!” They said amongst themselves and laughed hard.
This time, rather than being sad or angry at them, I responded with a soft smile, took my son’s picture and left. I could tell they were very confused. This wasn’t the reaction they expected from me.
